FAQ

When does the season start and finish?
Senior Men/Women/Youth fixtures start the weekend of the 5 March.  Grand Final weekend is the 24 September.
Junior Fixtures start the weekend of 17 April and Grand Final weekend is 10 September.
The Over 35 season runs from April 9th to October 1st (last Home and Away game is September 3rd).

Where and when are games held?
U6-U7s play in-house at Moggill every Saturday morning at either 8.30 or 9.30am.

U8+ play home and away fixtures with every second week being played at home. U8-U12s play in a Western hub which means away games are held at other local clubs ie. Kenmore, Colleges, Ipswich & Centenary. From U13 through to Seniors our teams need to travel a little further afield depending on which other clubs have nominated teams in the same division.
U8 - U12s play on Saturdays, with most games being played by 1pm. U13-U16s play on Sunday mornings.
Seniors can play at any time over the weekend dependant upon when we and our opposition clubs have nominated to play. Senior Premier teams will play their HOME fixtures 4 & 6pm on Saturday nights whilst Over 35s will play on Friday nights.

How much does it cost?
Costs for the 2010 season are as follows:
U6-U10 $190
U11-U12 $230
U13-U16 $250
Womens (Junior U16) $250
Womens (Senior Over 16) $290
Seniors $430
Seniors Metro $400
Seniors Youth/student $350
Over 35s (Qld Lions) $240

What does that include (any ongoing costs)?
MFC have a one-off fee that includes all game and referee fees, insurance (excluding Over 35s), Football Brisbane/Football Queensland registration, a training ball, team photo, share of cost of jerseys (owned by the club), ground maintenance and line marking and membership to the Bellbowrie Sports Club. The only additional costs to players are shorts, boots, socks and shin pads.

Where and when do we train?
All training is held at Moggill. As a general rule of thumb U6-U12 teams train one night a week for an hour. Higher age groups train twice a week for an hour and a half. Teams will nominate a time which suits them and the club will try to accomodate.

Where can I buy socks, shorts, boots and shinpads?
The club sells shorts, socks and a selection of boots and shin pads at signon day. This is the ONLY time you will be able to purchase uniforms through the club. After signon day you can purchase our uniforms through The Football Shed at Indooroopilly.
